Course runs: 15, 16, 22 & 23 August 2020
Course Description
Educational K - Brain Gym
Participants on this foundation course will learn all the Brain Gym® activities and simple goal setting procedures to improve whole brain / body co-ordination. During the course participants will have the opportunity to experience Brain Gym for themselves and practise with others. Guidance is given on using Brain Gym in personal and work contexts and the course provides a basic grounding in the concepts underlying Educational Kinesiology and Brain Gym®. The course begins by exploring ways to integrate left and right brain hemispheres using Brain Gym, leading to greater ease in activities that involve crossing the midline such as reading, writing, listening, movement and daily life skills. In addition to the laterality dimension of the brain, two further dimensions - centring and focus - contribute to an experience of whole brain integration as it applies to communication, organisation and comprehension skills.
